He served Euclid Lodge as Senior Warden in 1934 and as Chaplain in 1936.

William Hanley Thomas, 71, 615 E. Wilson St., Batavia, died September 1 at his home. He was born August 17, 1899, in Big Rock.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church; the Euclid Lodge #65, A.F. & A.M., Euclid Chapter 13 R.A.M.; Aurora Council #45 R.&S.M., Aurora Commandery #22, Knights Templar; Batavia Chapter #404; Fox River Chapter #14 R.A.M. Hinckley.
Mr. Thomas is survived by his wife, Beatrice; two sons, William and Donald, Batavia; a sister, Polly E. Thomas; and two grandsons.
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at Crane Funeral Home, the Rev. Gilbert Johnstone officiating.
Burial was in Naperville cemetery.
