Married Mary Jane Stafford November 1, 1882, they had seven children, Maria, Mary Jane, Abigail, Emma M., Elsie Hannah, Lillian, and Jonathan Franklin Jr.
Brother of George E. Royce (PM 1895) and Asa Mather Royce (PM 1906).
Bank employee with the Willard Scott Bank.
Farmer - Breeder of Morgan horses and Aberdeen-Angus Cattle.
He also served Euclid Lodge as Senior Warden in 1893, as Junior Warden in 1890 and 1891, as Senior Deacon in 1901 and 1903, as Senior Steward in 1897 and 1915, and as Junior Steward in 1898 and 1905.
He served Euclid Chapter No. 13, R.A.M. as High Priest, 1899 thru 1906.

Summoned By Death
John F. Royce died at his home in Wheatland township, Will county, on Wednesday afternoon, May 30th. Funeral services will be held from his late home on Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock (Daylight Saving Time), in charge of the Masons and Knights Templar.

Jonathan F. Royce, 62, died suddenly Wednesday at noon following a stroke of paralysis suffered during the morning at his home south of Naperville. He leaves a widow, a son, Jonathan Royce Jr., of Pasadena, Cal., and three daughters, Mrs. George Thompson, and Mrs. J. N. Webster both of Naperville, and Mrs. Frank Boardman of Plainfield.
The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the home, the services being in charge of Euclid Lodge, A.F. & A.M., No. 65 and Aurora Commandery, No. 22.
Burial will be in Naperville.
