IN MEMORIUM
CHARLES B. PAVER
1900 - 1971
Once again the Warrenville Fire House is draped with ribbons signifying that a friend, a comrade, a neighbor has departed. This time it is for Fire Chief Charles B. Paver.
What can one say about a man after this statement, "He served his community as Fire Chief for 25 years". 25 years of service, 25 years of caring about the welfare and safety of his fellow man.
"Chuck" Paver was a man dedicated to his job, alert to new ideas, equipment progress, items that would make the best fire department in the area even better.
What adjectives can be used to graphically paint his picture? Irascible, yes, at times; opinionated?, again, at times; but also: friendly, honest, generous, empathetic, out-going, and fun-loving.
Charles B. Paver, Warrenville's Fire Chief.
