Married Ida Emma Winehold, June 28, 1900. They had four children, Edna May, Pearl M., Raymond S., and Dorothy M.
His occupation is listed as Upholsterer in the 1900 census. Foreman in 1920. He was a claim adjuster with Kroehler Manufacturing Company in 1927.
Also served Euclid Lodge as Senior Warden in 1919 and 1920.
He served Euclid Chapter No. 13, R.A.M. as High Priest in 1916.

Funeral Services Held Monday For Arthur Jay Goodge

Arthur Jay Goodge, 81, of 616 N. Ellsworth street, died at his home Friday, February 23. He is survived by three daughters - Mrs. Leslie Arnett, Miss Pearl Goodge, and Mrs. Adam Keller, all of Naperville, and a son, Ray of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive. Mrs. Goodge preceded her husband in death on June 11, 1952.
Mr. Goodge was an active and contributing member of this community. He served the YMCA in many ways, especially in the conducting of membership drives. He served on the board of education of the Naperville Public Schools for twelve years. He was active in the Masonic fraternity, as a member of Euclid Lodge No. 65, A.F. & A.M., Euclid Chapter No. 13, and Aurora Commandery No. 22. He was an active member of First Evangelical United Brethren church since 1899. He was employed at Kroehler Manufacturing Company for 57 years.
A Masonic service was held on Sunday evening at 8 o'clock at the Ackman chapel. A memorial service was held at the chapel on Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Dr. Paul Washburn officiating. Interment was in Naperville cemetery.
